Online Streaming of Local Bands’ Upcoming Albums on kxt.org
Dallas-Fort Worth – KXT 91.7 kicked off a series of online streams highlighting upcoming albums from local bands in North Texas. The first of these online streams launched yesterday. Denton band Seryn’s upcoming record This is Where We Are is already receiving a positive response among independent music fans. The album hits stores on January 25th but a preview of the album can be heard exclusively at kxt.org. Listeners can stream individual tracks or listen to the album in its entirety on kxt.org from January 19 – January 25, 2011.
KXT will also offer a “First Listen” for two other bands in the coming month. Next up on the roster is The O’s new record, Between the Two, which will stream February 1 – February 8, 2011. This is immediately followed by The Hope Trust’s new record, Light Can’t Escape, streaming from February 8 – February 15, 2011. Both bands are local favorites and are already familiar to KXT listeners due to prior in-studio performances and heavy airplay. Songs from each of the new albums have already been added to KXT 91.7’s playlists.
These partnerships with local artists continue to show the commitment that KXT 91.7 has had since the launch of the station in 2009. More listeners have been exposed to local artists through KXT 91.7 than any other station in the metro area.
