DALLAS/FORT WORTH — Beginning October 7, KERA News is expanding its local news coverage with the addition of KERA Newsroom, a 10-minute local news segment airing weekdays at 8:20 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. on KERA FM during national news programs.

Anchored by local Morning Edition host Sam Baker in the morning and All Things Considered host Justin Martin in the afternoon, KERA Newsroom captures the pulse of North Texas, exploring the region with in-depth storytelling and coverage of key topics, including education, health, science and technology along with coverage of arts, politics and regional news. KERA Newsroom airs weekdays at 8:20 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. beginning Monday, October 7 on KERA FM. The program will also be streamed online on keranews.org.
