DALLAS/FORT WORTH – KXT 91.7 FM is elated to announce the return of Get Loud with KXT, a free concert on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Klyde Warren Park featuring a stacked lineup of North Texas artists Lou Charle$, Remy Reilly, and Jack Barksdale.

The second installment of Get Loud with KXT promises to be even louder than the inaugural showcase in 2022. A third set has been added to this year’s bill to celebrate even more of the diverse sounds across the North Texas music scene for Local Music Month.

“There is so much talent in North Texas, and we wanted to give listeners even more chances to see some of the local artists they hear all the time on KXT,” says Benji McPhail, Program Director of KXT. “From hip-hop to indie-pop to Americana, this year’s lineup is a testament to how diverse the local music scene is.”

No stranger to the stage, Lou Charle$ has become a steadfast voice of Fort Worth among the North Texas hip-hop scene in recent years. His latest album, Life Goes On, featured Texas rap icon Paul Wall.

Dallas singer-songwriter Remy Reilly has been a creative force in North Texas, writing songs as early as five years old, and gigging all over North Texas not long after. Her infectious new single, “What Do Ya Know” is a favorite among our KXT hosts.

Jack Barksdale is a burgeoning young artist who explores country, blues, folk, and rock for a sound that is uniquely North Texan. As a rising star of the new generation in local music, Barksdale is what celebrating Local Music Month is all about.

The mission of KXT is to make music accessible for all of North Texas, which means Get Loud with KXT will again be free and open to the public. Local food trucks and vendors will be on-site for purchase. For more details, head to kxt.org/getloud.
