News Releases 196

KERA is excited to announce the return of KERA Kids Fest on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. — this time, at Trinity Park in Fort Worth.

Children and parents are invited to a day of kid-friendly fun focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) and to participate in immersive activities that give back to our community. Families will also enjoy appearances by PBS Kids characters Nature Cat and Xavier Riddle, as well as music performances from DJ K-Sprinkles and drummer Baba Kwasi.

“KERA Kids Fest is a fun and unique way for families to engage with their favorite PBS KIDS shows and characters,” said KERA Education Director, Lisa Bracken. “It’s always exciting to see families engage in out-of-the-box learning with our fabulous partners and friends.”

KERA is partnering with Parent Pass™ for Kids Fest, and the event is generously sponsored by Scottish Rite for Children. On-site activities include assembling support packages for United Community Centers, as well as appearances by the Fort Worth Public Library, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Texas Ballet Theater.

Kids Fest is free and open to the public, and will take place near Dream Park Playground in Trinity Park, located at 2001 University Drive, Fort Worth, Texas, 76107. Visit kera.org/kidsfest for more details.
