DALLAS/FORT WORTH – A new collection of insightful and exciting programs premieres this August on KERA 90.1 FM, the public broadcasting station of North Texas.
Starting at 9pm Sunday Aug. 3, Wits joins KERA’s popular weekend lineup. The live weekly program brings world-class comedians, actors and musicians to the stage of the Fitzgerald Theater, where host John Moe gives them and the audience the time of their lives.
The BBC’s The Newsroom will feature a live newscast that covers happenings from around the globe, airing Mondays through Thursdays at 8pm beginning Aug. 4. This is a must-listen program for listeners who want to stay up-to-date on world events. Following The Newsroom at 8:30pm Mondays through Thursdays, new programs Discovery, Click, Health Check and Science in Action offer news and analysis on digital trends, scientific discoveries and medical breakthroughs.
Premiering Friday, Aug. 8 at 8pm, The Fifth Floor revels in the variety and range of stories produced by the BBC World Service’s 27 language sections. Host David Amanor takes a weekly look at surprising, insightful and sometimes outlandish stories for a new perspective on the week’s global news.
