Bummer. We’re talking soggy fireworks here. Actually, no fireworks.

Because of the rain forecasts, both SOLUNA Festival‘s concluding free concert — which was to be held in Klyde Warren Park and finish off this first festival with a rousing bang — plus the DSO’s annual, free, Flagpole Hill Memorial Day Concert — will be moved indoors to the Meyerson Symphony Center.

The change of venue will change both shows. Sunday’s “Salute to the Armed Forces” will still feature the world premiere of artist Monte Laster’s collaborative video work, Destination, in Five Movements. But it was also scheduled to have fireworks. So did the Flagpole Hill concert. Neither will have fireworks now.

It may be called the SOLUNA Festival — combining the Spanish for sun and moon, meaning there’d be day-and-night action going on in the Arts District — but it’s been the rain that seems to have been running things. The Klyde Warren Park concert follows the sold-out appearance of St. Vincent with the DSO last Sunday, which was originally scheduled to be held in Annette Strauss Square but was also moved inside the Winspear because of the torrential weather.

DALLAS, TX (May 22, 2015) – Due to the conditions caused by the ongoing inclement weather, the SOLUNA International Music & Arts Festival concert Salute to the Armed Forces scheduled for 8:30 p.m. this Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Klyde Warren Park has been moved indoors to the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora Street in the Dallas Arts District. The fireworks at Klyde Warren Park have been cancelled and will not be moved or rescheduled.

• The Meyerson Symphony Center will open for seating at 7:00PM Sunday, May 24, 2015.
• The concert will begin at 8:30PM Sunday, May 24, 2015.

The Dallas Symphony Parks Concerts Presented by Bank of America Memorial Day Concert & Fireworks at Flagpole Hill scheduled for 8:00 p.m. this Monday, May 25, 2015 has also been moved indoors to the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora Street in the Dallas Arts District. The fireworks at Flagpole Hill have been cancelled and will not be moved or rescheduled.

• The Meyerson Symphony Center will open for seating at 7:00PM Monday, May 25, 2015.
• The concert will begin at 8:00PM Monday, May 25, 2015.

For both events:
• Concert admission is free, no ticket required.
• Seating is General Admission.
• Parties that wish to sit together should arrive together; no seats can be held for latecomers.
• The musical program and performers remain the same.

Salute to the Armed Forces will recognize and celebrate America’s men and women of the armed forces, first responders and their families in a special evening of music.
