think.kera.org 29

The Black Lives Matter movement began in 2012 following the death of Trayvon Martin and gained steam two years later during the Ferguson uprising. Her new book is called “Making All Black Lives Matter: Reimagining Freedom in the 21st Century” (University of California Press).
