Bob Wilson and the Early Years of KERA
For our 50th anniversary in 2011, we premiered this half-hour documentary special, ‘Bob Wilson and the Early Years of KERA.’ It focuses on the defining impact of one of our first chief executives, Robert A. (Bob) Wilson, and the station’s national influence on public broadcasting. Bob — father to actors Luke and Owen Wilson, and the KERA president who introduced Monty Python’s Flying Circus to American audiences — died May 5, 2017.
