Missing The Movies? Head Outdoors For Rooftop Cinema

ArtandSeek.net 12

You won’t have any trouble picking a nostalgic film to watch this summer at Rooftop Cinema Club’s outdoor venue.

For its Summer Series, located at Dallas Heritage Village, moviegoers can catch nearly 40 screenings, including 10 Things I Hate About You, Poetic Justice and The Sandlot

Rooftop Cinema Club made its debut in Dallas in August as a drive-in, and the summer venue will still have that throwback vibe. There’s a 30-foot screen, but guests will sit in the open air and have the option to eat from food trucks, experience a full bar and outdoor games before each film.

Guests can pick through four different options of seating, including a single Lounge seat for one, a double-width love seat for two, a beanbag for one or general lawn admission (bring-your-own blanket or chair). Guests will also receive wireless headphones to watch the film. Screen start times will begin at 8:45-9 p.m., depending on sunset times.

All tickets will be available online and will vary from $14.50-$22.75 per person, depending on the day of the week and ticket type.  The first few screenings, from May 27-June 2, were canceled because of the rain.
