Southwestern Christian College

Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Texas was founded and sponsored by members of Churches of Christ. In the fall of 1948, Southwestern Christian College began as Southern Bible Institute in Fort Worth, Texas. The following year when the Texas Military College in Terrell, Texas closed the trustees purchased the property. During this time the school name was changed to Southwestern Christian College.
