A Quick Look At Art&Seek’s Reporting
- North Texas choreographer Catherine Turocy has been knighted by the French government and she runs the New York Baroque Dance Company, but she lives in Dallas. In the Art&Seek Artist Spotlight, Jerome Weeks explained how she makes the 18th century come to life onstage.
- The Dallas Museum of Art houses one of the great private collections of Islamic art – The Keir Collection. Now the DMA is dedicating a new gallery to the collection and Art&Seek’s Jerome Weeks and Anne Bothwell checked it out.
- KERA’s Stephen Becker was in Washington D.C. last week, so he took a break producing “The Big Screen” and instead focused his attention on music. Becker met up with the de facto composer-in-residence for public radio talk shows – BJ Leiderman – to talk about producing the music for “Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered.”
- EG Hamilton – the man best known as the designer of North Park Center – died on May 8th. So we thought it was time to revisit our 2014 profile of the architect.
