Protest Songs To Celebrate Democracy At Kitchen Dog’s Drive-In Show
ArtandSeek.net October 19, 2020 9Kitchen Dog Theater is celebrating its 30th anniversary this 2020-21 season with dynamic pop-up shows and special events.
Get Up! Stand Up! is a socially distanced, drive-in outdoor concert series.
Performances happen on October 24, 31, and November 3 and all concerts start at 7:30 p.m. Each performance will feature changing nightly lineups of up to 9 local artists and celebrities performing protest or freedom songs from throughout history.
Guests can park in designated parking spots and tune in to the show’s audio on their car stereos, as the live show is performed on a raised parking lot stage. As the nation enters another election cycle, Kitchen Dog Theater seeks to celebrate democracy and amplify the voices of the local artist community.
Single concert tickets to Get Up, Stand Up: A Drive-In Celebration of Democracy are $30 per driver, plus $15 per additional passenger. A VOTE, DAWG pass is also available to all 4 events and is $100 per single-occupant, plus $40 per additional car occupant. These concerts will take place in the parking lot behind the new Kitchen Dog Theater Compound.
