KERA’s River Cruise Raffle 2024 – Details and Official Rules
PRIZE: Rick Steves Europe trip for two guests, including hotel accommodations for a week-long stay in the destination of the winner’s choice with a professional tour guide. Available destinations include London, Paris, Rome and Instanbul.
The trip includes a $2,000.00 airfare voucher from American Airlines at AA.com.
ENTRY: Tickets are $100, and only 2,000 will be sold. To enter, call (214) 740-9225 or go to kera.org/tripraffle. Ticket sales begin at 10am CT on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, and end Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 11:59pm CT, or when tickets sell out, whichever comes first. The drawing will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at noon CT, and the winning number will be posted at https://www.kera.org/tripraffle by 11:59pm on Tuesday March 18, 2025.
RESTRICTIONS: Trip value not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. Additional add-ons, such as air fees, transfers, hotels and other restrictions may apply.
Employees of North Texas Public Broadcasting (NTPB), Rick Steves Europe and any immediate family members residing with employees are not eligible to participate. Also, members of the NTPB Board of Directors and NTPB Community Advisory Board and any immediate family members residing with them are not eligible to participate.
Must be 21 years of age or older to enter. Passports must be valid for six months following the date of return. Holder of the winning ticket will be required to present the ticket receipt and positive identification for verification.
All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Winner must complete Form W-9 and sign W-2G prior to receiving the prize. Raffle ticket price is not tax deductible or refundable. The trip has a value of up to $7,990. This amount, less $100 cost of winning raffle ticket, is taxable income to the winner. Prior to delivery, winner must remit payment of $1,893.60 to satisfy 24% of U.S. income tax withholding. Winner must claim prize within 10 days of being notified and make tax payment within 30 days of being notified.
In the event a winner elects not to accept or claim the prize, NTPB will conduct a second drawing to determine a winner.
